Q: When planning a gathering in your home, where do you start?

A: I always start with the occasion and theme that is sparking joy at the moment.

The process begins with that central idea, then unfolds with music, cocktails, and the way the table is set. Starting here gives the evening direction. It doesn’t have to be elaborate. Sometimes it’s simply a vibe, a seasonal feeling, or an excuse to dress up, but that initial idea helps everything else fall into place.

Q: What are your favorite ways to break the ice when guests arrive?

A: ALWAYS a fun cocktail as guests arrive and good music. I always introduce guests to people they may not know with a common interest.

It’s a small hosting habit that makes a big difference. A great cocktail sets the tone for the night, while thoughtful introductions help guests feel included from the start.

Q: What’s your go-to soundtrack for a dinner party at home?

A: Honestly… I have a GREAT Harry Styles playlist (a little Harry, Maroon 5, Rolling Stones mix) that always hits the spot.

Q: If you had a limited budget to put together a small dinner party, what would you focus on for the tablescape?

A: CANDLES! A simple, clean line of candles perfectly straight can be striking on a budget.

Q: Share your signature recipe to serve when hosting.

A: My signature cocktail is a choice of tequila, choice of soda and choice of garnish with a charcuterie board or chocolate covered fruit. I'm not a cook so I like to keep it easy when entertaining at my home.

Q: What is your favorite party trick?

A: For me it's the details. Guests notice! Have a set of custom cocktail napkins and matching restroom hand towels printed for home that you can pull out when guests come over. Creates a cohesive simple detail that will have people talking. A nice restroom hand soap is always noticed too.

A: Great cocktails, good music, small details and even better company.

Q: If someone is feeling overwhelmed by hosting their friends, what advice would you give them?

A: Never feel overwhelmed by having friends over. Chances are they are excited to see you and any party details are a bonus. If you're feeling overwhelmed, keep it simple. Easy wines and good music are stress free.

Q: What is the most memorable party or gathering you've attended or hosted?

A: The most memorable gatherings I've planned and attended were destination trips with close friends. We did one at a ranch in Wyoming with three nights of themed parties. Guests love to get dressed up and immerse themselves in the experience. Honestly it's the same for me on a smaller scale. A theme where people can dress up is always a conversation starter and guests have a blast.

Q: What are your favorite products or brands to use when hosting?

A: I love the Crate and Barrel wine glasses with the V bottom. I use them at home and rent the same shape every party I do.
